Cup of Death

Cindy Crater

At night I try,

But sleep is hard to come,

Sometimes I feel like,

I'm the only one,

That feels such sorrow, pain and hurt

Nothing like it on all the Earth.

The empty hole in my heart

I loved you dad,

And thought you'd never part.

It must be a dream for it can't be real

This helpless feeling

So tremendous I try not to feel

It feels like I am ripping apart,

For daddy I loved you with all my heart.

Help me God, hold me up

I don't want to drink From this cup

This cup of death and the sorrow you bear,

There's nothing like it----anywhere.
