Mothers Day

Alex

I lost my mother recently and unexpectedly when I was 26, we were very close and I am finding it very difficult at the moment, mostly due to the fact I never got a chance to say goodbye and say all the things you want to say. With mothers day on the horizion I wrote a poem for my mothers grave.

Poem Title: Mothers Day

I brought you flowers

Colourful and wild

So you

Just for the smile

That smile that broke through toiling years

Like a childs, seeing the sea for the first time

After a long journeys tears

I now bring you flowers

And place them on the ground

Trying to think

Of you as a child again

With the skies as your allies

And the earth as a friend

Please feel free to email me.
