My name is Charlett Swaner. I am 22 years old. I am writing this memorial about my Gramma. She was more than a Grandmother...she was the backbone of the family, the counselor, the nursery, the pediatrician, the mother, the best friend, and the confidante for everyone in my house.
My Grandmother Willow Mae Brown passed away on November 1st, 1999. She was seventy-three years old but it wasn't her time. She had a heart attack and died in her sleep. She was young at heart and full of life. My gramma was the kind of person that you would sit next to on the train and wind up telling her your whole life story. She was wise and full of good advice.
Everyone who knew her loved her. It has been over six months and I can't seem to get over the pain. I love her so much. She instilled courage and determination in all of her grandchildren. She taught her children how to be wonderful parents by example. She was a sweet person who was always willing to help. My Gramma was a wonderful person, and it very sorely missed. She will never be forgotten.
