Loss of My Wife & Companion

William Cook

On Friday, November 6, 1998, I lost my wife/companion, of 31 years to a combination of emphysema and breast cancer. She was only 60 years of age. We had Hospice the last three (3) days and they are a wonderful organization, and are very caring people. They are providing me with support and I am very grateful for this.

I was with her until the last moment here on earth. I would have had it no other way. She was my life, and more than I realized. I would have given my life to save her, but God decided that it was time to set her free. In view of this I have posted a poem that she liked call "I'm Free" on Hometown AOL. I hope that people will visit this site. Let me know if you do.

God bless all people and may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
