Two Sons lost to Blood Clots

Cynthia Carpenter

Nathan (24) had surgery to lose weight in November of 1994. Something went wrong and his liver was violated. In January 24, 1995a blood clot moved into his heart and caused a sudden death while at home. A probable cause from the surgery.

He was a "Star Trek " fan and spent many hours watching the original TV videos he had purchased and an avid collector of related items. He was only 24. He had just been accepted at college to study computer science. He was overweight and never had the opportunity to have a steady girlfriend. He was a 'teddy bear' and had many good friends. Our church gave us great emotional support.

Two years later on an evening, three air force men stopped to tell us our handsome, thin, healthy Rob (35) had died. He had been sick from restaurant food. Gotten dehydrated and thus somehow had a blood clot that took him suddenly. He was engaged to be married to a beautiful Turkish girl. She was also devastated.

I have been given comfort by my understanding of God's love. I am in sorrow for ever but blessed are they that mourn. I would enjoy the comfort of hearing of others who have lost 2 sons. I have one remaining son. Now 36 years old.
